Earis is a premium TV Listener, This version is supplied with a headset receiver, which is brilliant for people who do not wear hearing aids, but also for users who may not wish to wear their aids to watch TV or listen to music. It uses dynamic sound technology to deliver the highest sound quality available in TV listening equipment today.
Through extensive research into the listening needs of hearing-impaired people, it has been determined that 5 Tone Profiles match the needs of 95% of users when listening to speech and/or music from film, TV, radio or any other sound source. Earis Premium then delivers constant high quality sound using the chosen profile.
Earis Premium significantly improves understanding of speech in audio even if background sounds are present, you choose which of the 5 selectable Tone Profiles you like to create a personalised listening experience, the fast-acting Automatic Tone Profiling eradicates sudden changes in sound at the chosen listening level, which is especially useful when changing channels, or when adverts cut in.
The receiver has a communication amplifier function, the inbuilt microphone in the Earis receiver amplifies sound in the same room, meaning it is excellent for 1 to 1 communication.
Earis Premium stores the settings of the communication amplifier. This ensures that the user always returns to the last set volume when switching over.

Presumably with the headset system the receiver is fixed to the headset and cannot be removed so as to function like the pocket receiver?

Built-in microphone - where-abouts in the base unit is the microphone? is the mic input adequate to pick up a conversation of two other people around a hospital bed to a patient in the bed?
The microphone is built into the receiver unit, its aperture is on the front face of the receiver, and yes it could be used how you mention with no issues.
Is there any lip sync delay?
Not that you should notice.
Hi Does the Earis Premium System allow others to still hear the TV through its own speakers when someone is using the system.
It depends on the TV rather than the loop system, but generally speaking yes, the TV will operate as normal.
