The battery directive has the objective of improving the environmental performance of batteries by regulating the use of certain substances in the manufacture of batteries.
Battery Directive
The R.O.H.S (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive is Europe wide legislation, that tries to restrict the use of certain materials within Electronics Manufacture. The substances included were seen to be ones which when the product reaches end of life, can cause most harm to the environment.
